I couldn't resist taking a photo of these daffodils in my back garden.
Not only do they reflect the bright, sunny days we've had recently, they boldly signal a change in the seasons.
Seeing them clustered together, supporting each other's progress and development made me think about working with clients.

The daffodils' cyclical journey through the year, from flowering in Spring, to the leaves and flowers dying back, signalling their retreat underground, to conserve energy and resources. A period or dormancy, which may look, on the surface, as though nothing is happening, but this unassuming bulb is a mini powerhouse of essential nutrients, built to withstand the challenging conditions in the winter months. Laying low beneath the surface, the conservation and renewal process industriously preparing to do it all again!
And I come back to thinking about working with clients, and offering them safety, human connection and dedicated time to encourage their growth. To witness the moments of adversity, uncertainty, periods of resting, their drawing help from others, renewal, having the courage to try something again or do things differently. Accompanying a client for a small part of their 'life cycle' is a huge privilege.
Growth can happen when we feel safe and connected.
