Self-love - a warm and accepting love of who you are, a holistic love of your idiosyncrasies, your value, your imperfections, your humanness, your light and your shadow parts.

Offering yourself love means putting yourself first; saying no, creating boundaries - making sure you are taken care of.

Loving yourself is about compassion and contentment; the antithesis of fearfulness, self-criticism, resentment or jealousy of others.

The commercial and aspirational culture we operate within can often make us feel disconnected and create a sense of not meeting a standard, or missing out on something that may offer us true happiness.

Being thankful for your physical body, your mind, feelings and emotions, your unique way of being in the world can be challenging when life events come along and temporarily derail us.

If you are feeling disconnected or experiencing a challenging time, talking with a trained therapist can help.
